TL;DR: LivyFlow keeps budgets on your device by default. If you sign in, sync, or email a budget, the app sends only the data needed to provide those features.
1. Introduction
LivyFlow ("we," "our," or "us") is a budgeting app with optional cloud sync and email export. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and when data leaves your device.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the app and its optional services:
- Account details you choose to provide, such as your name and email address
- Sign-in metadata from Apple or Google, such as provider identifiers
- Your sync owner ID, budgets, and entries when you use cloud sync
- The recipient email and selected budget when you email a budget
- Subscription status from Apple so we can unlock Pro features
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. Local Data Storage
Most of your LivyFlow data is stored locally on your device, including your budgets, entries, session state, and preferences. This means:
- Your budgeting data stays on the device unless you choose to sync or export it
- Deleting the app removes the local data stored on that device
- We cannot recover local data after it is deleted from the device
4. Optional Cloud Features
LivyFlow includes optional cloud features so you can use the app across devices or share budgets by email. When you use them, we send data to the services below only for that feature:
- Convex: account sign-in, profile changes, cloud sync, and account deletion
- Vercel + Resend: emailing a selected budget to the recipient you choose
- Apple/Google: authentication through the provider you select
If you do not use sync or email export, your budgets remain on your device.
5. Subscriptions
If you subscribe to LivyFlow Pro:
- Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store
- We do not receive or store your payment card information
- We only receive subscription status needed to activate Pro features
6. Third-Party Services
LivyFlow uses the following third-party services:
- Apple: App distribution, Sign in with Apple, and App Store subscriptions
- Google: Optional sign-in provider
- Convex: Optional account and sync backend
- Vercel + Resend: Optional email delivery for budget exports
7. Data Security and Retention
Your data security depends partly on your device security. We recommend using a passcode and keeping your device updated.
If you delete your account, synced cloud data tied to that account is deleted from our backend. Local data on the device must be removed separately by deleting app data or uninstalling the app.
8. Children's Privacy
LivyFlow is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
